My PC freezes

hey guys I don't know if this was asked before but my PC freezes sometimes. I dont know the reason why but when it do freezes and resets you can never turn it on. Unless you wait for a few(sometimes a lot)minutes. The PC freezes and resets to like a suspend state...I did not config any power standby...

please help

My specs:

AMD Duron 700MHz
PC partner motherboard(don't know the exact)
20GB HD seagate
128MB RAM

I'd check the cooling first. Sounds like it's running hot. If temperature is OK then I'd swap out the PS with a known good one.

would there be ay chance that the mobo is bad also?

Open up the case and clean it out if it's real dusty. Check the air openings at the front of the case, the vents on the power supply and the CPU heatsink...if they're clogged with dust, use compressed air to blow the dust out.

cannot rule it out being the mobo, but I would look at your cooling first as it has classic symptmns of over heat.

Check the fan on you CPU first, make sure it is free of dust and spinning freely.
