Intel D845PEBT2 Wiring Question
I just purchased an Intel D845PEBT2 motherboard and am unsure about the wiring of the Front Panel Connector. 1. Reset SW. blue & white, which pin does the blue wire go to? 2. Hard Drive LED, Red & black, which pin does the red wire go to? 3. Power SW, green & white, which pin does the green wire go to? 4. Power LED, 3 Hole, green & black, which pin does the green wire go to? 5. Speaker, 4 hole, for front panel, where does this go? 6. Is the 9 pin used? I have an Antec SX635B II Case and these are the wires that come with the front panel. Thank You! |

Just plug them into the correctly labled pins on the motherboard. The motherboard manual will have a diagram of where the headers are located. It is very simple to fix if they do not work. If the switch does not work after you plugged it in, simply turn the plug over and reconnect it. No harm done, and it should work normally.

1. Doesn't matter.
2. Try it one way, if it doesnt work or stays on, reverse it. 3. Doesn't matter. 4. You have to move the green pin into the middle hole and green goes on the end. 5. Nowhere, the board has an onboard piezo speaker. 6. That's for the front USB ports. |

Actually, #6 is depends on which 9-pin conector you are referring to as there are two of them. As glc indicated the one near the battery is the usb fron panel connector. The second is located at the bottom left corner of the board near 3 capacitors. It is used if you have front panel audio connections on the front of your case. If not, you leave the 4 jumper pins that are already there in place. When these pins are jumpered they allow the back panel audio connections to be used.
You can read this for reference. As for #1-4: the pin to the right for each connection is the positive lead (pins 1,2,5,6). I just used this board for a build - great board. HTH
