I am looking for case for LAN parties. I saw a very tiny little clear case with a handle on it at CompUSA. It is bundled with a P4 mobo, don't like it and want to see if I can find one somewhere else. It would be a micro-ATX formfactor. Any leads would be apperciated.

if you get a LANboy, you can put any motherboard in it, as its ATX, yet still pretty small

Yes, the Antec Lanboys are nice and light and would make a great choice for LAN party use.

I'd have to go along with Hal on this one. Those Shuttle lan rigs are way cool!

The only thing that particular Shuttle needs to be a good gamer is an AGP card, and it happens to have an 8x slot.

Keep in mind, though, that the shuttle is $390, while the lanboy is $120. They both come with a powersupply, a 200 watt and a 350 watt respectively. If you're on even the slightest bit of a budget, I would go w/ the lanboy. It has a good powersupply, plenty of space, A WINDOW, and is easy enough to take to a lan party.

The Shuttle is more than just a case - its a complete "barebones" system - so the price comparison isn't as extreme as it seems.

I've thought about using an aluminum service tech tool case to make into a computer. Get the right size case, you could have the computer in the bottom and store a lcd monitor along with keyboard and mouse and cables.

Barebones? Doesn't it need a CPU? Besides, a mobo doesn't cost $270. The only thing that the shuttle has over the lanboy, besides size, is a mobo. The lanboy is just a better buy.
