Newbie problem with case fans

Hi everyone, I recently bought a Thermaltake case (A6000A) and it seems I'm in a little over my head in wires and fans. I previously have only dealt with plain computer cases and this is a little intimidating. The case has five fans and a speed controller switch to control them all. The instructions are very poorly written.

Instructions state that for the fan speed controller:

1) 3-pin with black and red wires connect to fan.

(which fan? where do I connect all the other fans?)

2) 4-pin with black and red wire connect to power supply.

(two connectors from Antec 430 W power supply are labeled "fan only" , is it OK to use thes or are they controlled automatically by the power supply?)

3) 3-pin with yellow wire connect with M/B (no problem, but what does this provide since power is alredy connected?)

I don't overclock and this bought this case mainly for looks and quality. I don't require all these fans, but it would be nice to have the controller functional for at least those fans I will actually need.

All replies and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I think that's for the CPU heatsink fan. Connect the other fans to the power supply power leads.

I think you connect that to a power supply power connector to give power to the fan speed controller unit.

That sounds like a RPM sensor. You connect that wire to the motherboard CPU FAN header. Some motherboard won't start up if there is nothing connected to the CPU FAN header.

Have you checked the Thermaltake website to see if they have better instructions there?

Thanks for the responses, I found the instructions for the Hardcano 5 to be helpful. All the fans are working now and the controller adjusts their speed.

The website shows the temperature sensor placed beneath the processor. Is it completely safe to put it there? Is there another place on the stock HSF it could be attached?
