memory cooling
does it realy necessery to buy memory cooling plates or wwhat ever this things are called? (for ddr400 memory)

The heat spreaders don't really work at all just for looks.

If your an extreme overclocker they help very much so. But the you would usally cool via water.

yep... save your money... as long as your case has adequate cooling & ventilation, it should be fine...
do you at least have an intake and exhaust fan in your case? |

If I may offer a bit of advice for you... It may be much quicker for you to use the Search function in the forums to find the answer you're looking for... There are tons of things already covered that you may find helpful in building your computer and picking the right parts...

they can actually increase memory temps, and since DDR memory runs cool enough that ice wouldnt melt that fast, they are more of a hinderance
