upgrading processor

i'm upgrading my processor to a xp2200+
i want to know if it's really hard installing the processor in.
i don't want to have any problems.

1. Make sure that your Board supports the new CPU.

2. Go with the retail version, 3 years warranty, good and fairly quiet HSF.

3. When attaching the HSF have the board removed from the case, you will find it a lot easier.

4. Make sure that you ground yourself before touching anything.

5. Take your time there is no rush.

6. Make sure you get the CPU the correct way around.

7. Be sure to align the HSF correctly, the step in the bottom should be towards the highest edge of the Socket.

8. Do not apply too much pressure when putting on the HSF, it takes a little effort, but should not be downright hard, if it is STOP.

9. Remember the Mech is here to help you.

the hardest part will be installing the HSF. just remember that it will require some force. If the force is too great, use pliers to gently bend the clasp outwards to make it easier to go over the ZIF socket.
