A case with power supply for only $23? For something that cheap, the power supply will be a generic piece of garbage.

Actually it is not a bad case. It is a little flimsy untill you get all the drives and cards installed, but everything works on them. The power supply is ok also, but remember it isn't an Enermax. Another good budget case is the Raidmax units.

$15 shipping, that makes it $38. For another $11 you can get an AOpen QF50A which is a quality budget case with a known decent power supply.

The power supply is just an L&C with yet another different brand name. It's crap.

on the mb it says 2 x USB 2.0 connector support additional 2 USB 2.0 ports , does this mean that there are connections for two front usb and two rear? if so ill want a case with two front usb hookups. i like the convienience. i was thinking of this case:
Raidmax Black 10-Bay ATX Mid-Tower Case w/ Front USB 2.0, Model 289WBP(Black) - Retail Specifications: Material: Zinc Plated Steel Driver Bays: Exposed 4 X 5.25" - 2 X 3.5" Internal 4 X 3.5" System Board: ATX / Baby ATX Expansion Slot: 7 Slots Standard Fans: 2 X 80mm Side Case Fan Optional Fans: 4 X 80mm (front) 1 X 60mm (rear) Power Supply: 350W Dimension: 16.2"(H) X 8"(W) X 17.8"(D) Model#: 289WBP(Black) http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...tby=14&order=1 morisswingate said that these are fairly good cases, w/desent psu's. the aopen's dont have the expantion im looking for, and they are a little more expensive. i was origianaly looking at this one ANTEC LIFE STYLE SERIES SONATA PIANO BLACK Model# Sonata w/ ANTEC TRUE380 380W Power Supply Special Feature: Piano Black Color TRUE POWER 380Watt ATX12V (single fan for enhanced quiteness) 2 x Front USB 1 x Front IEEE1394 Firewire Front Audio Jacks 9 Drive Bays- 3 x 5.25" 2 x 3.5" Ext. and 4 x 3.5" Int. 1 x 120mm Fan Mounts (1 rear ) Motherboard: Std. ATX 12" x 9.6" Dimension: 5.4"(H) x 17"(W) x 19.9"(D) Weight: 19.5lbs AQ3 Antec Quality three-year warranty more info> N82E16811129127 $104.99 but its a bit more expensive, but if worth it and that much better than the raidmax, then i might just have to spend the extra cash. |

You're not going to find a whole lot in the $20-30 range, there is plenty of good ones for $50-60 though. The AOpen and Enlight mentioned are awesome, and the Antec is even more awesome. It is more than you need really need; Antec makes some good cases for cheaper - such as the "Solution" Series. Lian-Li makes a decent case - except for the ugly front bezel - for $65, but without a powersupply.
I wouldn't trust a Raidmax, they seem to get some good press, but not only are the rails weak for its rated wattage, they can be unreliable. Maybe it's because they are shiny or something. Hope you like BBQ!: http://www.ronaldunz.com/crazyman/1.JPG http://www.ronaldunz.com/crazyman/2.JPG |
