Printer Cartridge Injector Nozzle Broke Off. Will Printer Still Work?
Well, I broke something again. In the process of cleaning my Epson color stylus 800 printer, I broke of a needle like nozzle that penetrates the yellow ink cartridge when you stick the cartridge inside the box. Part of the nozzle is still left but with a somewhat larger opening now. I have the whole printer completely disassembled right now and am wondering if I should even bother putting it back together if I permanently damaged it.
This all happened because I thought the nozzles were clogged up when actually that wasn't the problem at all. Whatever the problem is that doesn't allow the print to come out, all has to do with refilling the cartridge because I have another Epson printer that had the same problem and when I finally got a new cartridge I ordered online in the mail and inserted it, it worked perfectly. So much for printer, refilling and cartridge science.
So anyway does anyone know if a new color cartridge will still work even though the needle part of the nozzle that you stick the cartridge on top of is broken off?
