Not working properly...

I have some problems with a computer here. I removed the PCI video card and installed a Chaintec GeForce FX 5200 128MB AGP 8x. The motherboard is a Soyo KT400 Dragon Ultra. Heres the problem, when I unplug the power cord from the power supply I then boot the system up and the monitor doesn't turn on. I hear beeps and the fans working along with the hard drive. So I decided to switch with another card with a Radeon 8500 AGP card and everything works again. What could be the problem with that card?

I guess it all depends on how much you're willing to spend.

I wouldn't recommend the nvidia geforce fx range.

I think you'd be well off with an ati card, they come in a good range of price and power.

did you try another slot on pci slot on your board.

also check your connections near your ram as something might of come loose from a slot.

I'm curious why the FX card didn't run normally like the Radeon did.
