I am familiar with dot pitch of CRT’s, but how do they measure the quality of LCD monitors. I saw one advertised the other day that said .3mm pixel. Is this the size of the pixel or the distance between pixels? Is this the new way of measuring monitors?
Thanks ACM |

There's no distinction with LCD's like there are with CRT's. LCD's are compared with brightness, contrast, and response time.

dot pitch doesn't matter with TFTs and I don't know what .3mm pixel is. What is important is the native resolution as TFTs display a sharp picture only at that resolution (or a res that can be divided by 2 from that native res).
Usual native resolutions are: 14"/15": 1024x768 16"-19": 1280-1024 20": 1600x1200 RJ
