CPU Fan
The power connector for my cpu fan doesn't seem to work. I'm not sure if it's the fan cable or the connector on the motherboard. So i'm going to buy a new fan, if the new one doesn't work, I want to know if the sys fan power connector can be used for the cpu fan. If it can does anyone know were I can buy a extension for the fan power cord so that it can reach the sys fan power connector.(its on the other end of the motherboard.)

Just go to your local computer store and get a 3 pin to molex adapter and then plug it into a power supply lead. These adapters have both a male and female molex so even if you are out of power supply plugs you can use them.

Thanks, I was starting to get realy pissed off at this computer.
Its my first build and every time I thought I was ready to put it all together something would go wrong. First I ordered the wrong motherboard, then I find out it didn't have a integrated video card(never order from pc universe they don't halve the right info on some of there stuff), then the cpu fan doesn't work. Then my cat ruened my power suply by chewing through half the cables. Then I sent my case to get painted and because I wasn't going to be home for a week my mother went and picked it up for me, and she droped it down the stairs!, it was a 100$ paint job. |
