If so, My question is-----I purchased a Maxtor Diamond max plus 40 gig that has to be jumpered to access cable select, can I make the switch work with this HDD???

one, you can have up to 4 devices on your board, and will dual boot just fine without any switch

the newer drives come with a free promise controler vard the will add 4 more drives to the system,

so why would want to use a switch ?

anyway yes it will work

bailey--Thank you for response,To answer your query about wanting a switch is so that I wouldn't have to install software for duel booting, plus,I would like to run Win 2000 pro on one HDD and install programs for that OS and run Win 98se on the other and not have to partition any further,Besides I thought a switch would be cool..GaryD.
