good floppie drive brand?
well considering they are the 8-track of the computer world, oyu dont hear too much about them. so what is, in your opinion, a good or possibly the best floppie drive out there?

I've used numerous Teac, Mitsumi, and Sony drives with few problems.

Their very cheap so any will work fine.

TEAC used to be considered the most durable and dependable floppy drives around, but Mitsumi seems to be very reliable as well as Panasonic, NEC and Sony.
I think as long as you don't get a Samsung floppy, you should't worry about the floppy drive.  Cricket

Chinon and Epson floppies are pretty lousy too.

They're so inexpenisve, I don't pay much attention. I haven't paid more than $9 for one in years. I usually pay about $6.
I don't use them for anything but an emergency boot. |

Been using Sony floppy drives with all my builds-- no problems so far. HTH
