Adding more RAM
Hey all. Calling on your sagely advice once again. I have 512MB of DDR400 RAM in my computer already. I use it every single day, and I'm looking for that extra bit of speed. Would it be worth the money to add another 256MB PC3200 RAM to the system? Thanks for the help.

What do you use it for? Gaming? Graphics? Film editing? Surfing?

Depends on what you use the computer for. You might notice a performance increase if you routinely work with very large files (like very large photos) in a program such as Photoshop, or, if you routinely have several power-hungry programs open at once. Otherwise, you won't notice a "speed" increase.

Save and spring for the extra 512 stick, you will notice an improvement with 256, but you will DEFINETLY notice the difference with a 512 upgrade
