Second Hard Drive installation problems

alright here I need some help

I recently purchased a dell and just ordered it with the cheapest smallest hard drive they have.....30GB......i did that cause I know i could get a large HD for alot cheaper than Dell could offer....ok so I find Western Digital 120GB 8mb buffer Ultra-ATA hard drive.....So today I go to install it but here is my problem......i installed it, and booted the computer up....it doesn't read the drive under "my computer" but if you go to system information it says its there.....but here might be the problem....I ordered the computer w/o a floppy drive...cause I figure....i don't need one....nobody uses them still.....lo and behold the driver software is on a floppy!...SOB!!!!.....I decided to then try and burn the floppy software to a cd and run the .exe that way...but it didn't work....i then decided to go and get a cheap floppy drive and install it.....now the computer doesn't read the floppy drive either?

MAN WHAT DO I DO?????????????

you do not need the floppy if you are useing xp

just go to control panel system tools, disk manager,
select the new drive, format and go from there.

there is no driver required to install a new hard drive

under control panel...i have "system" but no system tools.

the system in control panel brings you to system properties...from there, there is a device manager...but no disk manager

thanks for you help....i'm new to this
