HD problems with my new to me PC
I got my new to me PC on Friday and installed my HD that I formatted and partioned, it was all ready to go. I got it working and running for a while with the sides of the case off. Now when I turn it on I get the Windows startup menu and my options are to boot from the hard drive or boot from a CD. When I try to boot from the HD, it takes me right back to the startup menu. When I try booting with my Win98 CD it says "Windows 98 has detected that drive C does not contain a valid FAT or FAT32 partion." I tried FDISK on the C drive and I get "no fixed drives present." I tried dunning DELPART and I get the message "No hard disks were found." I ran SCANDISK on the C drive and it said that it found no errors
I tried format C: and format C: /s and I get "Format not supported on drive c: Format terminated" What do you guys suggest?

Creating a new partition in FDISK??? format it then install ur windows operating system on it!!! try it that way!!! but sometimes i have come across hard disks that have done that and have gone!!! so it is worth goin into bios and HDD detection and checkin the IDE ribbon cable
