scanner problems
i bought a CHEAP artec e+48u scanner about a year ago,it worked fine(though slow)until about 2 weeks ago,suddenly for no apperant reason it drops the driver,i have to un-install and re-install then it works for a while then drops again.its ubs,setup on xp.i have tried changing the usb to another plug,removed other usb (printer and camera)but it is the same.other usb hardware work ok.i've ordered another scanner(didn't go cheap this time)but would like to keep this as a spare if i can get it working.any ideas.by the way it sometimes but not always drops when i reboot.I know don't re boot,but is there anything else.HA i have installed latest drivers, also checked all plugs etc.
