gigabit ethernet
is it possible to connect a server with just a gigabit ethernet port directly to a 10/100 switch, or does it have to be connected to a switch with a gigabit port?
Thanks! |

Yes you can, it will just be limited to 100 megabit.

thanks HAL. by the way were you able to complete delivery on:
"the three racks of dual P4 2.8 Xeons, 24 nodes total, 2Gb per node, 60Gb IDE disk per node, each node connected by gigabit ethernet. All connected by 100 megabit to a 2.8TB RAID array" just curious, copied this from one of your posts around march this year thanks again!
