How do i hook it up

For my birthday my friend gave me a heatsink for my processor and a 120mm case fan. Well i got the heatsink hooked up btu the 120 mm case fan has a black and a red wire comeing out of it. how do i hook it up. I dont know what model it is or anyhting. is there anyway i can get the fan to run

Black is for ground, hook to a black wire from your PSU. Red is for 12v, hook it to a yellow wire from your psu.

You can solder them, make a plug for them using a regular molex connector (or any connector), or twist the wires together and seal with heatshrink/electrical tape (not recomended).
