Hey PCMECH need help ok so I want to change my whole computer but I want to use some of my parts along my dell so let me start I want to change the CPU and MOBO but I want to keep my Hard Drive and Soundblaster 5.1 Live everything else I want to sell but I dont want to sell the Dell CPU if it wont work on a regular computer here are the specs of the dell. Also would my hard drive work with my new computer? I heard that Dell uses these manufactured parts so that you wouldnt be able to upgrade or remove.
Specs of Dell:

512 133 Sdram
Geforce 3 ti200 64mb
Soundblaster Live 5.1
Maxtor 80gb Hard Drive

You should have no problem using the hard drive and sound card from the Dell in another build. The only spot you'll run into trouble is if you want to continue using the Dell case. It probably won't accept a new ATX size motherboard and may even have a proprietary power supply plug that won't fit into the new motherboard. If you're just going to gut the Dell for parts and make a new build with a new case and such, you should be alright.

I tried the same thing with my new rig..
and Surge is right about the case.. definitely will not hold an atx sized motherboard. And i'm not sure if Dell uses the same power supplies or not, but my power supply will not work either.. It has a 3.3v plug to plug into the motherboard along with the normal plug.. I dont understand, so i'm not gonna try to get it to work..
