which would YOU choose??

Ok im looking for a good matching, fast, yet affordable CPU+Motherboard from below, with which to add 1024DDR

- Which CPU from this list would you choose?

- And which Motherboard from these lists?

I'm not looking to spend more than 200 english pounds on these two (poor student),

My choice so far is the AMD Athlon "Barton" XP2500+ 333FSB and Asus A7N8X Deluxe nForce2.

Brilliant choice mate.

If you're buying from them, please tell me how good they are, I have been considering purchasing my equipment from them, but I haven't had much experience with them.

The XP 2500+ and an Asus A7N8X Deluxe nForce2(not one of the micro ATX boards...).

I'm not an AMD person, but I have to agree with your choice on a budget.

choice

I'd choose the 2500 barton too, but I'd choose the Epox mobo first or a Abit Nf-7 if available. The Asus board is good too. If I had to choose its tough, there all good.

instead of the A7N8x, look at the soltek 75FRN2-L

top board, i have one myself, extremely impressed

also, that shop is the nuts, i buy almost everything off that site, the service is second to none
one of the few proper good online computer shops in UK
