cpu heat issues

hi can any 1 tell me wot the temps are for an AMD XP2400 @ 266 fsb min and max pls thx

As long as the temps don't go over 60º Celsius you don't need to worry.

The temps you see will depend a lot on the ambient room temperature your computer is in, the case you're using, the number of hard drives installed, the video card, the number of fans installed and if the wires and cables are neat or messy around the CPU heatsink.

Minimum temps really don't matter since the CPU will only be a cool as the surrounding air when the system is off. Maximum temp that an AMD CPU can operate at is 90C, but the system will exhibit heat related problems long before then. Try to keep the full load temps below 65C and you'll be fine.
