Question HD, fast trak and RAID problem

Ok, this is my problem, my motherboard (MSI GNB MAX i7205) has three IDE slots, two normal IDE 1 and IDE 2. I have 2 HD one one cable and cdrw+dvd rom on the other. The third IDE the manual said can only support one HD-master. I have 2 SER(SATA) ports. The manual said IDE 3 and SER 1, SER 2 is used for RAID controller. Now here is what I want to do, I want to place another 120gb seagate 8mb buffer hd. The only problem with this hd is that I do not know where the slave jumper slot is. The diagram is there but only says:
1. Master (black), Slave (grey) cable
2. Cable select (I think)
3. Limit HD to 32gb.
4. Apparently this 2 pins seem to have nothing assign to them.

Now, I could sacrifice one DVD for a HD, but I was wondering is there another way so that I can have all hd at once? my system is in my signature.

The other problem is that, since there is no obvious info saying where the slave is, I tried the HD on my primary since it says the same pin space for slave and master. Only the cable will make sure which is master which is slave. But, I find that the new HD becomes master and the other HD(my 80gb master hd) not appearing in the slave-that I understand. I do not understand is how to configure the jumper of the new HD to slave. Since my 30b hd is on the slave, I do not want to sacrifice that for now, since the 80gb hd has bad sectors, I still can ue it, but I'm afraid I will out of space soon. So I was wondering if I can use another port for the new HD which is IDE 3. Now I think you will understand what I am saying at the top. Sorry to confuse you guys.

When I do use the IDE 3 (only meant for one master HD) I get the fast trak controller in the BIOS, saying me if I want to strip the HD. Can I ue the HD independently? Without the RAID controller? I don't know if this is possible and hoow to do it.

Hope this info is enough. I tried to install a new XP on the 120gb, but I was stuck at the internet part. I have the intel gigabit lan on this pc. Usually its ok when I clean install this hd, but this time when I installed on the new HD, I manage to connect to the internet(username, password), but there is no activity. Its like the pc is blocking all outgoing traffic. Since there is no outgoing, there is no incoming. I wasted nearly a day 3 times clean install and then putting the pc back to the original configuration.

What are my options of adding this 120gb HD without RAID and making it an independant HD? thanks
