You can only use fan controllers with fan that will support change of speed. Such at a ThermalTake Heatsink Fan. Others just run at the speed they are supposed to with the power that is sent to them.

It would be cool if you could, but you cant. The only way to really control fans in your case is to buy the switch board so that you are able to turn the ones you want on or off.

How many fans do you have? Have you ever thought about buying a switch board for your fans?

Well not really but in the morning or late at night they annoy me and i just want to lower the speed so they make a little less noise. And i was looking at the Vantec Nexus 301 fan & Light Controller which came with 2 lights and i was able to controll the fan and lights so i dont have to open my case to put my light on sound activation or turn it off.

Ok, what kind of fans do you have in there right now? Such as 80mm or 120mm fans. And who makes them? Did they come with your case or did you buy them?

Right now all 4 of my fans are Antec Blue LED 80mm. Very quiet. Does not bother me at all. That is with 4 fans! Have you thought about spending about $6.99 on some good Antec fans or other manufacturers that make good case fans? Dont go out just yet and spend a lot of money on controlable case fans. That is silly. Try going my way first and spend less money.

Yes. You can buy cool cathode light anywhere. Just make sure that they have a switch with them. Then you mount the switch somewhere externally on your case. I bought mine at CompUSA for $19.99. Works great.

Try buying the two Antec 80mm fans and see what they sound like. If you have the money they are not that expensive and if you dont like them you just have some extras that are really good.

One more question... Why do you leave your comp on all of the time? If it annoys you that bad turn it off...

Yes, a fan controller can be used with any normal case fan...it uses a reostat that reduces the power going to the fan and that in turn slows or speeds up the fan. The fan doesn't have to be made specifically for speed control.

I dont i usually use my computer till late at night, or use it early morning. The light i have now has the swich built in so i have to open my case to turn it from on to sound activation, would it be safe to open my light remove the swich and add some extra wire so the swich would reach out of the case?

That would work. Just need the right wire connectors. And sorry about saying that the fans would not work with a controller! I thought they wouldnt... hehe...

I have 3exhaust one on the side and one on the top and one in a pci slot
And i have the intake comming in from the back rather then the front and it works alot better.

Cool. I wish I had my brothers digital camera so I could take pics of mine. I do want to get that fan controller and add one more cool cathode light. I think it will really look cool when I do so.
