'Infinite loop bug'

Just built new system with a new GeForce FX5200 card but games are freezing. I've been told that its a common problem called an 'infinite loop bug' but no-one's told me how to fix it.
I've downloaded the latest drivers from Nvidia but it still doesn't work.

Any suggestions welcome

More Specs please..

WinXP??

Are you running games at default settings??

Log or chronological diary of what you did before this became a problem or did you have it initially??

If you did allot of updates/upgrades/patches, its good to re-execute Directx...

Have you done Virus Scan and Spyware remover??
