I have a XFX 361BS VIA KLE133 MoBo and am unable to get it to show any kind of monitor screen, therefor I am unable to set up the Bios. This is the second one they sent me, it is the replacement for the original which had the same problem.
My dumb question would be this; when it says "built-in AGP4X graphics" does this mean that it needs no video card. I am just trying to figure out if I have been screwed, or does anyone know if this is typical of this MoBo. |

It would appear something isn't set up correctly or your power supply is at fault.
What is the systems configuration? |

Do you have the monitor hooked up to the right port on the motherboard?
Is the computer turning on (fans spin and hard drive spins up)? Cricket

hey man they are just trying to help. Don't be disrespectful. Cricket has helped me with countless things in the last week. I also really appreciate all the ppl helping me with my ineptitude. If you ask a question expect to get answers back that will cover every possible problem. Its called trouble shooting.

I did not ask weather or not my monitor or fans were broke. Therefore no appologies. |

1st_yelloweyes sorry to say but anyone who is going to read this post is not going to want to help you in the future. Since we have no visual of your problem we do not know what is connected and we also do not know your knowledge of computers.

I really would hate to reply to a runaway post such as this but you really are being disrespectful.
People like Cricket help others on this board for nothing in return (Look at his post count). He is taking time to attempt to help you. To begin fixing a problem you must first look at everything, including is your monitor working. A majority of the time it's these little problems. All you had to do was say, "Yes, I've checked my connection, and it is a working monitor." Then they would have helped you further. Eventually the problem would have been solved. Instead, there you sit with a dud computer that you can't get to work. After people read this, no one will be willing to help you. Another thing, this forum is really unlike any I've been on. There is no flaming, allowed or considered by any user. Always helpful and nice. |

I am sure yellow and cricket have broad shoulders and can ignore the rantings of the original poster.
Perhaps the next time that he has a problem he will have read the forum rules and guidance threads before posting. Funny tho' I would have asked the same questions as yellow and cricket, whilst trying to diagnose this problem. And remember guys, everyone deserves a second chance...

Seriously, man, that was quite rude. I consider myself to be an intelligent person, and pretty knowledgeable about a lot of things, but I can't even begin to count the number of times in my life that I've spent forever trying to fix/find/solve something, in the process ignoring the simplest and most obvious ways of doing so.
We all do it sometimes. To take offense at someone asking a simple question is beyond stupid. Cricket's a great guy. So are the vast majority of the members of this board. Scanning a few threads will make it very obvious how willing to help everyone here is, and that no one makes any judgements about people based on their apparent knowledge level. Everyone knows things that other people don't about something. There are plenty of threads I've seen where someone posted a problem, and people responded with many different "intelligent" causes for it, only for it to turn out to be something that was so obvious and simple that most people weren't bothering to ask, like "are you sure your monitor works?" So, in short, don't take everything so personal, tone down the pride level a notch, and maybe you should consider shooting an apology to Cricket and yello. My 2 cents. |
