clean keyboard
here are some pages to check out:
http://pcsupport.about.com/library/weekly/aa020903a.htm VERY In Depth (Maybe Too Much) Gateway's Suggestion - they actually TELL you to turn off the PC first. the theme of all of the above basically says to very carefully pry keys off and give your keyboard a good scrubbin with alcohol. hope that helps craig

Have a friend that use to reburb old pc's for his church. He used the dishwasher. medium temp water - splash of soap - let dry a longgggg time or use blow dryer.
If the keyboard is valued at under 20bucks-replace or find guys like me that have a dozen of them collecting dust in the closet. |

If you feel up to it, carefully take it apart and clean the individual components. It a surefire method, as long as you put it back together again correctly....

I did that once. Mine was a ten dollar keyboard and I just took the plastic sheets out and washed them.

My buddy, Pounder, did the dishwasher trick. Worked for him, too. Put all the keys in one of the silverware baskets with a lid.
