I have always preferd inkjet printers, but am now leaning towards laserjet type
now I only use inkjet to print photos, and laser for all others, black and white. |

A Bubblejet is the same thing as a Deskjet, etc. They are all inkjets.

I belive Bubblejet is just Cannons' name for inkjet. Just as Deskjet is for HP.

Personally I feel the Deskjet's from HP are more hardy than the Bubblejet Canons. We have had both at work and the HP's just keep chuggin and the Canons are in a closet not working. Just our experience. I also prefer the paper handling of the HP's over the Canon Bublejets

I prefer HP over any other brand. It seems that all other brands I see working don't handle paper well and make a high pitched whining sound that really annoys me. I can't hear my Deskjet 882c and it makes excellent prints.

what ever you get, do not get a top paper feeder one.
stay with a bottom tray type. |

I don't remember all the printers I've had over the years, but I know I've had Epson, HP, Cannon and Panasonic besides the Lexmark I'm using. I've had my Z31 (top loading) for about 3 years now and print several times a day in the machine shop. We also have a paint shop in the building and I bet I've cycled 10 pounds of dust through that thing over the years. I never had one last as long or spool up as fast. Seems like all the others I've had would think about printing for a while before getting to work, but this one gets right down to business.
Of course I'm printing packing slips and CAD drawings mostly so am not concerned with super high quality prints, but that printer has to be just about the best use of $90 the shop has ever seen. |

I'm sold on HP. Originally I had a 510 or 512 (not sure of number) that came from a office where it saw a lot of action. Only reason I got rid of it is I wanted color. I now have a 712C that has had several thousand sheets of paper ran thru it and only reason I'm thinking about getting rid of it is I just want something faster.
Plus the fact I keep refilling the cartages and saving a lot of money. Chas
