What do you need to overclock?

I am thinking of getting a high-end cpu without overclocking or a lower then overclock it.

I'm very Intel biased and with that said the best mid level cpu is the 2.4C 800Mhz combined with a good quality mobo and ram would be a starting point. The 2.4C can easily overclock to 3.1Ghz without upping the vcore while remaining stable.

Oh, and no fear of voiding a warrantee is required.
