H.D. Wont Show In POST

My second hard drive was showing up correctly a few days ago. However, recently it hasn't been showing. It's supposed to be a Secondary Master, but everytime POST tries to detect it the H.D, it doesn't show. The second hard drive is Western Digital. Can someone provide me with an explanation and/or a symptom?

does it stop by during the detection, search for a bit, and then pass it by?

Check to make sure the ribbon and power cables haven't somehow come loose from the drive.

My second hard drive detects fine now. I don't know why. I turned the power off, including turning off the switch behind the ATX case, making certain that the cables were in and they were. I turned the PC back on and the second hard drive detected perfectly. Don't know why. Well, thanks for replying.
