is this good?

ok ive been looking in to building a comp so i put a quik list of stuff that i thought i would get. i wanted to know if everythings good on it and if theres anything i should upgrade. also if everything matches up right. i also want everything internal. heres the list:

this would be my 1st time building a computer, do you think i could do it, i dont wanna mess anything up. if not would best buy set it up, or should i try to find somebody else?

You can do it yourself easily. Just make sure you read through the BYOPC article, take your time, and feel free to ask any questions here.

How about a regular DVD-ROM drive as a source drive for the DVD burner and a floppy drive?

ok i added a lite on dvd-rom, will that work fine with the plextor or do i have to use the same brand. also what does OEM stand for. sorry im a noob at this

original equipment manufacturer. it means it comes wiht nothing but the part itself. It normally comes in a white unmarked box with bubble wrap. (mmm bubble wrap). No manuals or cables and all that, just the piece of hardware. Don't think of it as bad or anything, it's a good way to save money if you don't need all teh fancy stuff. It's basically the bulk version of that hardware.

The Lite-On will work fine, but it's a little noisy. You may want to look at Pioneer or Sony for DVD drives that operate are little more quietly.

It says IDE which is the give away its internal. What you were prolly reading was something like an external HDD cage
