toshiba portege 3490 ct laptop
ive formatted a toshiba portege 3490 CT laptop, and since the format, we cannot install the mobile cd rom. in the properties, it recognises the PCMCIA cable, but i still have no cd rom drive!! we've reinstalled drivers (didnt work). reinstalled recovery cd rom disk (didnt work). i feel weve tried everything, even kicking it (not really) but still no joy.
has anybody got any suggestions i could try please??? Thanks. Sally |

sorry. ps, its got win 98 second edition on it. which is what it had before but was trying to install XP but it wouldnt have it, so we re-installed 98SE
