Range on wireless keyboards and mouses

Hi, new here
Im putting together a system for my room with a tv tuner and stuff , it will be hooked up to a 17inch flat panel(hyundai) and a larger tv. I have a couch that is about 7 feet away from my comp and i wanted to know which mouse and keyboard set would give best performance at the longer ranges. I like the feel of the microsoft mice but im really open to anything. I was also looking into the microsoft wireless duo for bluetooth because of the 30 foot range, but I here that they are very buggy. Any help would be very appreciated as its my first build and I've never used wireless products before

From what I have seen, the Microsoft Wireless mice and keyboards are excellent. I prefer Microsoft but there are other good ones out there.
