Adaptec scsi controller

I was looking to buy one of adaptec scsi controllers, but which one for a pc. The two I saw on liqudations.com and e-bay are for MAC model #AHA 2940UW and AHA 2940U2W. This info came from Adaptec web site. Any suggestions

What type of connector does the SCSI device you want to hook up use? Internal or external? 25 pin, 50 pin, or 68 pin? Does it need a bios?

68 pin does not need bios Sorry for the lack of info. I also found that those devices I posted are available for PC also just a slight difference in part#

Either will work, the U2W is twice as fast IF your device is an Ultra 2.

Thanks I found a U2W new so naturally I bought that one. New in box $50.

Another question I just got back my 120 gb from Western Digital because the first one died, now I want to partition this so I have one partition for the server and the other for a OS I purchased the Linux 9.0 I never heard nothing bad so I figured I try it also. My first HD 100GB is running WinXP so I decided to put the linux on the second alnog with the server.

Thanks again
