PROBLEM WITH NEW PC might be RAM
ok thanks for reading this and me helpng solve my problem... i am building a new PC for the first time but i am having some problems... first of all, it shuts down after giving a beep code...the BIOS is Phoenix and the beep code is short long short long short long with no pauses, but the thing is, i thought there are suppose to be pauses and no short/long, just all the same length... might it be the RAM... they say its triple tested but i notice that the RAM led is always orange...
system specs: AMD 3000+ 2 X 512 MB of RAM DDR 3200 500 watt power supply 120 GB hard drive Gigabyte GA- 7N400 motherboard with phoenix bios GeForceFX 5600 AGP 8 X video card |

The RAM, itself, could be a working module. But that module may have compatiblity issues with your motherboard. It's not uncommon.

What brand RAM are you using and is it the right type (it's not ECC RAM is it?).
