Floppy problem with laptop...
My friend needed a new network card for her laptop, but the laptop in question did not have a cd-rom drive, so it was impossible for her to install the driver. The computer shop guy copied the necessary files on a floppy. However, when she got home and installed the card, she tried to access the floppy, only to find out that her floppy drive was not working anymore. Every time she tried to access it, the sytmem locked. I had a look at it, tried everything I knew, bu could not solve the problem. What could cause a floppy drive to stop functionning suddenly? is it possible computer-shop-guy did something that messed the whole thing up?

Of course, the most important details. Silly me.
I'll hve to check for the model - However I think it is an older Compaq (PII 233) - and she is running Windows NT. |
