What is the Fastest CPU available for my for my MOBO?

My pc (specs below) was custom-built. I would like to upgrade my CPU and get the fastest P4 available for my system. Please correct me if I'm wrong but after doing a quick search, the fastest P4 that will work on my MoBo is the 3.06GHz, 512KB, 533MHz. Is this correct? Would I have to get a new MoBo in order for a P4 3.2 GHz , 800 MHz to work?

Thanks in adavance

Go online to your MB Mfg site and look it up.. If it will support that chip or not. Also read the BIOS flashing updates for that board .. their may be a BIOS flash available to make the chip compatible if the specs say no.. Seek and learn

No, according to the Intel web site the fastest CPU that motherboard supports is the 2.8GHz 533MHz P4 with BIOS version P04.

Yep, you'll need a new motherboard that has either the 865 or 875 chipset to support the 200MHz FSB speed that the P4 3.2GHz 800MHz runs on.
