Hard-Drive coolers
Hey, can anyone reccomend soem hard-drive coolers that go in the 5 1/2 inch bays, im looking for somehting under 20 bucks.

I use one that attaches to the bottom of the hard drive. It does a very good job of cooling. There about $14.

The type that Joeberg mentions is an enclosure for the HDD.

I used to use these Vantec Drive Bay Coolers when I was in my crazy cooling phase. The fans are good quality units that move quite a bit of air. The front fan filter is removable for easy cleaning. And it's not too noisy. It's a nice unit for $10.

I use the same one not important uses, it keeps the HDD nice and cool and is very simple to install.

thanks guys, i think ill go with the one cricket posted, its the most liek what i ahd in mind, and its only 10 bucks, ive seen similiar things go for 20, although I dontk now if that comes iwth the appropriiate brackets

I know you've made your decision, but I thought I'd throw something at you. If you want to break the bank, take a look at the Zalman passive hdd coolers. They're kinda cool looking, and only 3x the price of the Vantecs (lol).
