New build imput!?!?!?
Alright since my comp is in the shop and its on the verge and i dont know if i will have to build a new one or not i am looking into a possible build....i just have a few questions and what u think about the parts...
Antec Lifestyle Series Sonata w/ true 380 ps Asus A7n8x Deluxe Mobo Amd 2500+ or 2800+ Barton Xp My one question for the processor is that i heard that if you take the 333fsb and jack it up to 400 that on the 2500 it would then act like a 3000 is this true and if you do that to a 2800 what would it act like then...jw 2 x 512 pc2700 ram not sure on brand probably crusial or corsair WD 80GB HD with 8mb cache For the hd what serial ata hd would you recomend for this Asus Fx5600 256mb I dont know really what gfx card to get but this looks like a good one and i dont really wanna spend a fortune on it too but about the same price as that one would be nice i just want it to be a good one Alright any imput would be great but yeah thx Ryan |

wow i dont know what the hell went wrong there my internet went down and then bam when it came back on there was 5 posts lol and 4 of them are blank but this is the real one sorry administrator for any mixup

Get the 2500+ and overclock it if you wish. Get the ATI Radeon 9600 Pro instead of the FX 5600 and if possible get pc 3200-3500 Corsair XMS Low Latency Ram if you want to overclock, if not then stick with Crucial.

I agree with imbest, drop the FX card. From what I've read, they're fairly poor performing cards. I second the recommendations for the 2500 and the 9600 Pro (See my Sig.). As for RAM, if you want to OC, I think 3200 would be better, I also believe that is the highest the A7N8X DLX will take. Corsair is good stuff, if you do want to OC, I've heard Mushkin is good for that as well, or possibly some Kingston HyperX.
