The max on my CD burner is 12x. I use 12x if its jstu data but if I want to burn an audio CD then I burn it at 4x or slower, to avoid skipping.

Depends on what I'm burning...if it just data or image files, I burn at the fastest speed available...but if it's a music CD, I burn at 8x or slower.

Cool

40X. Audio and data. I do a lot of audio tapes, not music but speakers. Haven't noticed any skips.
