Couldnt running your pc next to or inside large appliances damage it? I read that somewhere.....also my friend found out the hardway when he put his pc next to his microwave that was sitting on top of his mini fridge in his dorm room. Not sure if it was his mini fridge or microwave that killed it, but we were popping popcorn when it died.

Condensation is your major problem.. parts are producing heat.. the fridge is trying to cool it.. condensation is gonna happen.

I have the same thoughts on using an old mini fridge to cool my pc, i would think it would be best to duct the air from the fridge to the intakes of you case's air system. You don't want the cd roms to get too cold, mechanically moving things like to be cool, not cold, and electronics like being cold. If you had a bafle of some kind, or an air filter of some kind in between that would eliminate your moisture problem, and at least give you time to catch it before it got out of hand. On the condensation issue, it will happen if you have higher humidity, and are using extremely cold air. Just my 2 cents.

so maybe if you ran the PC in a mini fridge along with a dehumidifier also in the fridge that would work lol.

You would probably kill most fridges running a computer inside. With the constant heat the computer will produce the fridge will need to run nonstop to keep it cool, and that's not something they are designed to do. You would either need a very powerful fridge or one designed specifically to be working nonstop.

i was thinking alone the same lines, but a little different. ou got a water cooling system and put the radiator and fan in the fridge. the cooled water would run to the pc and cool it. then return the warm water back to the fridge and start the cycle over again. or put the water tank in the fridge. would that work?

No, that would solve the running fridge problem i would think, cause to cool that much water wouldn't take that much energy. The amount of cold that fridge could produce would be more than the computer generates, and the fridge is insulated, so it would be relatively energy efficient. When i was little we had a fridge that ran all the dang time, it leaked air badly, and it lasted forever. But as for running the computer completely in the fridge, that's out of the question.
