Photo Printer Suggestions Canon i960/i900D???
I just got a Canon S50 digital camera and want to get a printer to couple with it and also take advantage of the rebate available with the purchase of a camera and printer.
I was trying and searching for help as to which printer is better. I have no clue. It seems as the i960 is a better quality printer but the i900D has better features. I need help deciding which to get. The 900 offers a $100 rebate and the 960 offers a $50 rebate but the 900 is $50 more than the 960 so they are equal in price in the end. Which is the better printer to get? Or should I just bite the bullet and get an epson??? |

I have always bought Epson, but I finally got fed up with the head clogging problems.
I purchased a Canon i850 have have not regretted it. The printer is faster, quieter and more reliable than the Epson. The photo quality is amazing and the costs to run it are very low. I use this printer with my digital camera and get great results. Because of the print head problems and the high costs of Epson ink cartridges, I would look at buying a Canon as you are doing. The Canons have come a long way and are now giving Epson fits regarding the market share. |

Do not buy the epson!!!!
The two printers are going to be almost exactly the same. The biggest difference is the speed. The i960 is almost 3x as fast as the i900D. I would get the i960, personally, for the speed alone. I have an i850, and I love it. I used to be an HP only guy, but since I've switched to this Canon, it would be hard to switch back. |

I have a Canon I 960 and for photos I love it, much better than my HP 960c and three times as fast with three times better prints and much cheaper to operate. When one color runs out you do not have to replace the whole cartridge, only the color that is empty. You won't regret the Canon
