Boom CRC Error is ruining computer time :(

Hello all, recently I bulid my own system consisting of

PC Chips M950HLU Socket 478 MB
No-Name 350w P4 PSU
Intel Pentium 4 3.06 HT
2x512 Kingston PC2700/333/2.5 ValueRAM
ATI All-In-Wonder 9600 Pro
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum
Samsung DVD Drive
Samsung R/RW Drive
Western Digital WD600 HD
LaCie electron22blue 22" Monitor
Logitech z-680 Speakers

I bulit it mainly for my entertainment (games and tivo). Thought I got some good parts...with the exception of the MB...but I did have a budget. On to my errors.

When I setup windows (XP Pro SP1 Slipstreamed CD) It workes great..meaning no errors...just a nice fast install. But as soon as I got to install my video card or sound card or anything else software wise I get a "CRC ERROR" saying some files didnt match the cab files. (Temporaly I get around this by installing from over the network, works fine.) I have no idea what is causing this problem.

I have tried using different IDE cables, different IDE controller (switching from onboard IDE to a Promise Ultra100 PCI). I tried replaceing the RAM, as well as the cd drive. To no avail. I am hoping someone has some insight into this and can help me understand what my problem is. Thanks.
