HP laptop, change CPU

HI

I have a HP ze4210 notebook witha cel. 1.6 cpu., uFCPGA

I did a lot of research on this and from what I can tell, it has a 478 pin cpu.

The maual i downloaded for this cpu shows that you can remove the processor from the mainbaord.

ANYONE ever do this. .. I know these are different then the desktop systems.

So my question is.. If it is not embedded to the MB, and I am able to get another processor in, How would I adjust the clock speeds, or does the bios automatically set it?

I am trying to venture from building desktops, to the laptop realm.
Thanks

I don't think you will be able to do this, I belive the cpu are soldered to the main board and not replaceable

You should be able to change the CPU if it is indeed in a socket. Since Intel CPU's are mulitplier locked, you "should" be able to put in any compatable 400Mhz bus CPU.
