I got these little cardboard washers with the screws to secure my new board. Do these thingys go on the screws to prevent the board from shorting out, I have no idea where to put these!? The guy at the store acted like they were important, and he said not to lose these washers???Does anyone know where these go on the board??

You can put them under the heads of the screws that hold the board in place. It might depend on your motherboard. On a lot of boards they aren't necessary unless the head of the screw is so large it extends outside the isolated ring around each hole. On the last system I built with a Soyo board, no washers were included with the screws and I didn't add any. Worked fine.

The brass mounts don't need anything on top of them.
The washers are included in case the screws you use on top of the mobo are big-headed enough to make contact with any circuits on the board. If your screw is getting too close to a particular circuit, use the washer, if not, no need to worry about it. Xayd |
