Need a new MB for my p4 1.8

I have a Gateway, 1.8 gig p4. Somehow, my agp slot has messed up, and will no longer recognize as having any memory card installed. I need to buy a new mb, and would like to have one with some future upgrade potential. Anything I need to know and/or any suggestions?

Thanks a lot in advance.

is the gateway a atx standard case and power supply.
if it is then you can fit any MB you want into it.
if not call gateway

St. Louis Micro ATX Tower Case R1

This is the case that came with my computer. I am using a different power supply than the one supplied by gateway. Will some motherboards be too "high end" for my processor?
