Angry Fire HELP with damn mobo asus a7n8x

Hi sori for me being long winded and if i post in wrong directory pls forgive me for i dunno where can i post this.

Seriously i tink i am never going to use another asus mobo again.

This damn mobo gave me a lot of damn problems!

Ok Problem 1: windows xp pro aint reading my cdrom drive though the mobo acknowledges it. when i run add hardware wizard and its scanning for connected devices, the icon appears on my computer even b4 the scan is finish.

How can i fix this?

Problem 2: my com aint reading my creative mx100 mp3 player. which connects via my usb port. it just state unknown device thats all, when its suppose to show removable mass storage device.

Problem 3: http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.p...threadid=82343

Im running win xp pro
athlon xp 2600+
asus a7n8x mobo
corsair 1024 ram

Recently i encountered a problem. The pc hangs at windows is shutting down page.

This problem occured after i installed winpoet for my ethernet adsl modem.

i did some research and is wondering could it be due to my pc trying to log off from the network. i aint connected to the internet but under control panel>network connections i see 1394 net adapter enabled. i tried to disable it but my pc hangs at it.

So guys any ideas how do i fix this?

Thanks for ur help

Cool

No idea on problem 1.

Problem 2 you might go to MS updates and download the recommended update for USB and see if that helps.
