just a small question
can anybody give me any advice to keep my dvd-rom and my cd-rw working because i don't want to buy another one

Dunno if there are really any life-extending tricks out there... Don't put any pizza on their trays?

I think your best bet is to always research and buy quality names for your hardware. Even then, stuff happens. At least you've reduced your chance of it happening too soon.

best advice would be to never:
1. put 2 cd's in at the same time 2. never put anything but the proper cd in it. 3. no not use the open tray as a coffee holder 4. force the tray open or close 5. let it build up dust or dirt. |

Also, don't leave a CD in constantly. This will save a little wear-n-tear on boot up, searches, and the like.

Keep it free of dust. Blow out accumulated dust with cannned air.
