Laptop Drive removal

I recently recieved a Compaq Presario 1200 12XL1 laptop, and I'm trying to swap the CD ROM drive out for a DVD drive. It seems that the top of the base needs to come off before I can get the CD ROM out. I'm not sure how to take apart this laptop though. I know it may be futile trying to look for schematics on the net, but I have yet to find any instructions for it. I do know that, there are two screws that hold it in place on bottom, but I still cannot take it out. I've also tried taking the whole thing apart, but it still holds together like there are screws, where there are none. Anyway, any help is appreciated. Thank you.
