HELP_ how to set up a SATA 150

HELP seagate SATA150HD not recognised
System setting up
Abit Nf7-s, 2x Corsair 3200, ATI 9800XT
Seagate SATA 150 -160 GB

I tried to set up a new system today and the seagate hd is not being recognised.
It's conected to the sata 1 on the abit and I have done the Seagates disc utility. I have never before set up a sata 150 hd.

I know that Sata is default master drive, so should it appear in CMOS set up as the IDE Primary Master???

When I start the PC it lists none for both Primary and Secondary channel and has the cdrw.

Then a raid option shows up and the hd is recognised. After I ran the 6 floppys the set up fails and it says that there is no disc to be recognised.

I guess my question is how do I set up a Sata 150 in order to install XP ??? Howwill I go about adding an ata133 drive ..master? slave??

Anyone with abit nf7s and similar set up???

Im so tired I can not even see what I am typing but I need to start the XP install tonight???

No... the SATA drive will NOT show in the BIOS as it is NOT part of the parallel ATA bus. It is a separate controller which will show the drive during the boot sequence. Boot your system from the XP CD as you normally would and setup windows.

Cool

I had to load the Cilcone Image SATA drivers that were on the mobo CD when I loaded CP on my SATA HD. XP only gave me the option to load from floppy so I had to copy then from the CD to a floppy. During initial install XP prompts you to hit F6 if you have any 3rd party drivers.
